Albert Shanker Scholarship Awards 2016

The UFT hosted its 47th annual Albert Shanker College Scholarship Awards ceremony and reception on June 13 in Shanker Hall at union headquarters in Manhattan, giving out $1 million in scholarships to 180 high school students from throughout the city and nine graduate students.

More than 150 educators, administrators and community health advocates gathered at Brooklyn Borough Hall on June 8 for the 2016 New York City Wellness Poster Contest and Excellence in School Wellness Award ceremony.
