First Book event at PS 175, Manhattan

Foot traffic was heavy all day long in the PS 175 schoolyard in Harlem as more than 1,000 parents, teachers and students stopped by to choose from among the 40,000 books being distributed on April 25 at the UFT-sponsored First Book event.

Public school students attend book unveiling

More than 300 runners and walkers made waves on the Coney Island boardwalk on May 9 at the UFT’s second annual 5K Family Run, which raised more than $15,000 for the UFT Disaster Relief Fund to benefit survivors of the Nepal earthquake.


New diabetes programs from GHI
