Better Speech and Hearing Month Celebration 2014

Roughly 275 speech teachers, students and their families came out for an evening of fun and awards at the UFT Speech Improvement Chapter’s eighth annual Better Speech and Hearing Month Celebration at UFT headquarters on May 14. More than 80 students and their teachers received awards for projects, including posters, poems and videos, which explain what they do in speech therapy and what it means to them.

Provider Appreciation Awards Ceremony 2014

Thirteen providers and Anne Goldman, the union’s vice president for non-DOE members, were honored at the UFT Family Child Care Providers Chapter’s second annual Provider Appreciation Awards Ceremony on May 9. Almost 250 providers, their family and friends came out for the celebratory event, which fell the day after New York State’s Provider Appreciation Day.
