UFT President Michael Mulgrew welcomed more than 450 parents and community members to the union’s Queens Parent Conference, held at the Sheraton LaGuardia East Hotel on Nov. 23. The theme of the conference was Partnering with Parents for Student Success. Rose Walker-Yates, the UFT Queens parent and community liaison, emphasized that the day’s workshops were geared to achieving that goal.
