Middle School Workshops

UFT Vice President for Middle Schools Richard Mantell has scheduled these workshops for all middle school members. These courses are NOT for college credit. Professional development and CTLE hours will be available. All workshops are open to any and all educators who wish to upgrade their instructional skills or participate in professional dialogues concerning their career.

Save the date for Teacher Union Day! Teacher Union Day offers an opportunity to celebrate recent accomplishments while remembering the brave educators who put everything on the line in the 1960 strike that provided the impetus that made the UFT the force it is today.

In this LearnUFT workshop for middle school teachers and paraprofessionals, participants will build an awareness of the Principles of Effective Vocabulary Instruction to support the development of oral and written language abilities of English language learners across content areas.
