  2. Tuition reimbursement is available to regular full time employees who have completed six (6) months of service and enroll in a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Nursing.  Eligible employees pursuing pre-approved undergraduate or graduate degrees are eligible to receive tuition reimbursement at the rate of 75% of actual tuition costs (excluding registration fees, books, lab fees and other expenses) for up to six (6) course credits for each of three (3) semesters during the academic year.
  3. Employees must be actively employed at LGI while taking the course and at the time benefits are payable in order to receive benefits under this policy.
  4. Employees who receive tuition reimbursement assistance are required to enter into an agreement with LGI that will confirm the employee’s agreement to continue in employment with LGI for the minimum periods described below.
  5. Courses taken under the tuition reimbursement program must not interfere with an employee’s regular duties.
  6. Employees must complete the course and receive a passing grade of C or better to receive tuition reimbursement.

  1. Requests for benefits under this program should be made on a Tuition Reimbursement Application and be submitted by the employee to his/her department director at least four (4) weeks prior to course commencement.
  2. Applications approved by the department director, accompanied by his/her statement to the appropriateness of the course and the benefits to be derived by LGI, should be forwarded to the Vice President of Human Resources prior to the start of the semester, for final review and approval.
  3. A new application must be submitted for each semester’s courses and such courses must be approved, as indicated above, prior to registration.
