  • 4 (Monday) — Labor Day (schools closed)
  • 5–6 (Tuesday to Wednesday) — Staff reports; students not in attendance
  • 7 (Thursday) — First day of school for students
  • 14 (Thursday) — Evening parent-teacher conferences for elementary schools and pre-K centers
  • 21 (Thursday) — Evening parent-teacher conferences for middle schools and District 75 schools
  • 25 (Monday) — Yom Kippur (schools closed)
  • 28 (Thursday) — Evening parent-teacher conferences for high schools, K–12 and 6–12 schools

October

  • 9 (Monday) — Italian Heritage Day/Indigenous People’s Day (schools closed)

November

  • 2 (Thursday) — Afternoon and evening parent-teacher conferences for elementary schools; students in these schools dismissed three hours early
  • 7 (Tuesday) — Election Day, students do not attend school; professional development for teachers
  • 9 (Thursday) — Afternoon and evening parent-teacher conferences for middle schools and District 75 schools; students in these schools dismissed three hours early

January

  • 1 (Monday) — Last day of winter recess (schools closed)
  • 15 (Monday) — Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Day (schools closed)
  • 23–26 (Tuesday to Friday) — Regents administration
  • 29 (Monday) — PD day for high schools and 6–12 schools; students in these schools do not attend
  • 30 (Tuesday) — Spring term begins for semester-based schools

February

  • 19–23 (Monday to Friday) — Midwinter recess (schools closed)

March

  • 7 (Thursday) — Afternoon and evening parent-teacher conferences for elementary schools, pre-K centers and K–8 schools; students in these schools dismissed three hours early
  • 14 (Thursday) — Afternoon and evening parent-teacher conferences for middle schools and District 75 schools; students in these schools dismissed three hours early

  • 6 (Thursday) — Anniversary Day/Chancellor’s Conference Day for staff development; students not in attendance
  • 7 (Friday) — Clerical Day for elementary schools, middle schools and K–12 schools and standalone District 75 programs; students in these schools do not attend
  • 14-26 (Friday to Wednesday) — Regents administration (excluding June 19, when schools are closed)
  • 17 (Monday) — Eid al-Adha (schools closed)
  • 19 (Wednesday) — Juneteenth (schools closed)
  • 26 (Wednesday) — Last day of school for students, teachers, attendance teachers, nurses, therapists, lab specialists and paraprofessionals
  • 28 (Friday) — Last day of school for school-based school secretaries, school counselors, school psychologists and social workers
