Bring 20 copies of a biographical or true-information poem that you like or have taught, with specific references as to how you would use this poem in the classroom.     When used properly, technology can enhance instruction, promote student learning, and cultivate a classroom and respect and engagement. In this workshop, participants will learn the ways in which the Google Apps for Education can be used to facilitate classroom collaboration, streamline parental engagement, and bring dynamism to your everyday instruction.

    Participants will learn how to access the cloud, create and share files, as well as collaborate on projects with colleagues and students. You must have an active Gmail account to participate in this workshop. A $10 fee is required to participate.

  • First Children Sing, Then They Speak! A Music Workshop Workshop 9:00 am - 1:00 pm

    Join us for a workshop entitled "First Children Sing, Then They Speak!" The workshop will be led by Dr. Lois Wilson and details how music can be used as a vehicle to teach communications and social skills for young children with autism. This is an interactive, hands-on workshop where the use of songs, communications symbols, materials, books, musical instruments and movement will be used.

    Workshop is $10 in advance and $15 at the door. Continental breakfast will be served at 8:30 a.m. Four hours of professional development credit will be available. See the flier for more details and to register.
