    NYCATA in collaboration with COPE NYC, BRAVE & Operation Respect invites you to a reception for the 2018 Student Exhibit. The project is titled Inside/Outside: Young Artists Unite Against Bullying, Part II. Young artists will be invited to talk about their work.

    Peter Yarrow (of Peter, Paul & Mary) will talk to students through song via a video.

  • RTC - Atlanta's Spring 2018 History and Heritage Bus Tour Arts & trips 12:00 pm - 5:00 pm

    Enjoy a cultural journey of Atlanta’s History and Heritage from the Civil War to Civil Rights to the International Host of the Centennial Olympic Games with Lamplighter Tours! Meet the tour guide and motor coach at The Atlanta History Center, 130 West Paces Ferry Road NW in Atlanta at 12 noon for a 12:30 p.m. departure. Parking available at the Center.

    First, we visit the newly upgraded Jimmy Carter Center to learn more about the 39th President who made his journey as a Southern Georgian peanut farmer to being the President of the United States to a tireless world traveler and negotiator of peace for all people. See some wonderful photographs of his early life; a replica of the Oval Office; elegant gifts from Heads of States and the displays of agreements, projects and changes that President Carter was able to make during his years in the White House.

    Enjoy many interactive, educational displays. Visit the water garden in the back that overlooks the city skyline, a special gift from the Carters’ Japanese friends. After the Center, we depart for downtown and the CNN Center.

    You will lunch on your own at the CNN food court. Finally, we visit the Center for Civil and Human Rights in downtown Atlanta. This cultural attraction connects the American Civil Rights Movement to today’s Global Human Rights Movements. The Center’s purpose is to create a safe space for visitors to explore the fundamental rights of all human beings so they will leave inspired and empowered to join an ongoing dialogue about human rights in their communities.

  • CPR/AED/First Aid Classes English/Spanish for Family Child Care Providers Workshop 9:00 am - 1:00 pm

    All child care providers must be proficient and certified in CPR, first aid and the use of automated external defibrillators. We offer a four-hour class in these areas to help meet the needs of licensed, registered and legally-exempt (informal) providers as well as program assistants and substitutes. Refer to the flier for additional afternoon session offering.

  • Earn More! Take a Free Workshop for Informal Child Care Providers Workshop 9:00 am - 2:00 pm

    Our course for informal (legally-exempt) providers covers everything. We offer a broad range of topics including food and fire safety, behavior management, early childhood education and infant nutrition.
