Italian American Heritage Committee

The Italian American Committee is dedicated to the study and preservation of the Italian American tradition and the many contributions of Italian Americans to the labor movement, the teaching profession, and the broader American culture. To that end, the committee hosts a range of activities including our annual bocci ball tournament on Columbus Day and our annual heritage event at the end of October.

We actively seek to recruit teaching professionals and support staff who share an interest in the Italian American tradition and can offer their academic expertise and organizational skills to achieve the our collective goals. Please contact UFT Professional Committees at 212 598 7772 for more information.
