A SAVE room (named after the acronym for the state school safety law - Safe Schools Against Violence in Education) is an area or room that houses students who have been removed from their classrooms or suspended from school, or, in the case of elementary schools, suspended from "buddy schools." There is a standard template that is completed by your School Safety Committee. This committee meets at least once a month and includes the UFT chapter leader, the principal and the PA or PTA president.
