Welcome to the School Nurses Chapter
Patricia Ross Spiller
Dear School Nurses Chapter members,
As many of you may have heard, I was recently selected to fill the District 75 nurse supervisor vacancy. As happy as I am to have been promoted to this position, it saddens me to inform you that as a nurse supervisor I need to resign my position as School Nurses Chapter Leader.
It has been an honor and a privilege to have been selected to serve you for the past four years and it has been a rewarding and challenging experience. I have learned so much about the importance of being in a union. What I will miss most is the solidarity and camaraderie with all the UFT school nurses I've encountered along the way.
My stepping down has created a chapter leader vacancy. A Notice of Elections on the nominating procedures will be mailed to your homes shortly.
If you haven’t already, I’d like to urge you again to sign up on UFT.org to make sure you get the latest news and information from both the School Nurses Chapter and the UFT. It’s important because virtually all of the union’s communications are by email only; if you’re not signed up, you will miss important news and information.
Last but not least, I want to thank you for all the hard work that you do for your students and for all the support you have given me over the last several years. None of us can do this alone.
In solidarity,
Patricia Ross Spiller
