LYFE Chapter Leader
This one-of-a-kind program supports student parents in New York City with free early childhood education for their children from birth to the age of three. The UFT teachers, paraprofessionals and social workers in the Living for the Young Family (LYFE) program also provide wraparound services such as parenting education, mental health support and help obtaining resources.
The LYFE program is co-located within NYC high schools and has over 25 sites across the five boroughs. Student parents may be enrolled in high school, Pathways to Graduation or adult education.
