Who we are. What we do...
The UFT Provider Professional Education Program is dedicated to advancing the knowledge of family childcare workforce and all early childhood professionals.
Our team of professionals provide a variety of exceptional, high quality professional development opportunities, on-site coaching and program improvement support, quality grants, and more! Our virtual, hybrid, and in-person regulatory trainings and specialized courses are specifically designed to meet the needs of all providers, teachers, and assistants working with children birth to 5 years old.
Inez Robinson-Chillous, Executive Director

Inez Robinson-Chillous, M.S. Ed.
Executive Director, UFT Professional Provider Education Program
Inez Robinson-Chillous has devoted her career over the last 30 years to equity and developmentally appropriate practice in early childhood education. She holds degrees in Early Childhood Education, Elementary Education, and Literacy Birth-12, and NYS T-TAP Professional Development Specialist and Coach credentials.
She’s worked in the capacities of classroom teacher, NYU Reading Recovery practitioner, and Literacy Coach for Pre-K through 2nd grade in the New York City Public Schools for 15 years before leaving to advance her work outside of the classroom. She leads the development of adult learning content, coaching, advocacy, and support for family and group family childcare, and early childhood programs in New York City.
She joined the UFT in 2017, overseeing the delivery of regulatory, enrichment and early childhood credential trainings to early childhood professionals throughout New York City. She also currently governs and serves as Board Member of the United Network of Early Childhood Educators in New York City.
