Join us in our final push to visit every City Council member before the vote on the City Council floor on the paraprofessional RESPECT check. We need your voice so that Councilwoman Althea Stevens understands how truly vital and important this legislation is to our members. The RESPECT check will go a long way toward ensuring that schools are appropriately staffed and the children she represents get their mandated services.

Register to attend a meeting for UFT District 12 paraprofessional representatives. At this meeting, Bronx paraprofessional borough coordinator Edgar Irizarry will address  concerns and share updates on the latest chapter news. 

Register for attend a meeting for paraprofessionals working in District 31 and paraprofessionals working in District 75 schools on Staten Island. At this meeting, UFT Staten Island paraprofessional borough coordinator Ann Marie Toro will discuss the NYCE PPO plan with guest speaker Joseph Usatch from the UFT Welfare Fund. 

Teachers and paraprofessionals are invited to register for an in-person intensive professional learning session where educators will move from using AI tools to creating them. This session focuses on designing custom classroom AI agents to streamline planning, support differentiation and help teachers devise the best ways to engage learners with varying interests.

At this meeting for paraprofessional representatives, attendees will discuss important issues and updates for paraprofessionals. Jeffrey Novzen, UFT pension representative, will give a presentation on the Tax-Deferred Annuity program and the new Roth investment option.

Register to attend a karaoke night for Queens UFT paraprofessionals. Join us for some light refreshments and raffles while singing some of your favorite songs with your Queens UFT colleagues.

UFT paraprofessionals are invited to register for the fourth session of a remote learning series from the UFT Teacher Center designed to explore meaningful strategies for literacy instruction.  These five sessions will take place via Zoom during scheduled Monday professional development time at your school.
