UFT Providers life insurance
Members of the UFT Providers chapter are eligible to receive a $10,000 term life insurance policy through Amalgamated Bank. Members are covered once they appear on payroll for dues.
Members may become ineligible if they no longer care for subsidy children after three months. If a provider has no subsidy children, they may elect to pay $8 per month to maintain the $10,000 policy.
Benefits end at age 65. No medical exam is required.
