Our new visitor policy
Visitors, including UFT members, to any UFT office must provide proof of vaccination or evidence of a negative COVID PCR test taken within the last 72 hours. Children under 12 do not need to provide proof of vaccination or a negative PCR test but those over age 2 must remain masked throughout their visit to the UFT office.
During the summer, UFT borough offices are open Monday through Thursday, 9 a.m.– 5:15 p.m.
UFT borough offices will be closed for maintenance from Monday, August 15, 2022, to Monday, August 29, 2022. You can reach the union at 212-331-6311 if you need assistance during that time.
Regular office hours, posted below, will resume on Tuesday, Sept. 6, 2022.

First day of classes 2021–22
There were plenty of smiles and a bit of trepidation as the 2021–22 school year kicked off with all students returning to in-person learning in their classrooms for the first time since the start of the pandemic in March 2020.
