The UFT Teacher Center and the Asian American Education Project are teaming up for a training about the history of Asian American and Pacific Islander (AAPI) immigration to the United States. This 60-minute workshop will explore the challenges and motivations of AAPI immigrants throughout U.S. history.
Attendees will also discuss past and present immigration policies, their effects and why they were created. Educators will walk away with the knowledge and lesson plans they need to teach their students about this integral community.
You may register for this workshop or session one on Wednesday, March 25. Participants will earn one hour of CTLE credit by completing this course.
