Long-term care insurance

Passed by the Retired Teachers’ Chapter and now goes to the Delegate Assembly of the UFT.

Whereas, Long-Term Care Insurance has become increasingly necessary due to lengthening of life and the dispersal of families; and

Whereas, many of our members have purchased long-term care insurance at considerable expense; therefore be it

Resolved, that the UFT urge the AFT and AFL-CIO to seek legislation which would provide a tax credit under the Internal Revenue Code for long-term care insurance premiums.
