Meeting Needs

Looking for practical tools to better manage stress, navigate difficult emotions, and feel more confident handling challenging situations?

UFT MAP is partnering with the Center for Trauma and Stress Education (CTSE) to offer a series of free, one-hour monthly trainings focused on practical skills for managing stress, navigating challenging situations, and supporting emotional well-being. Led by Harvard-trained doctors and clinical psychologists, each interactive session provides evidence-based tools that members can use in both their professional and personal lives.

UFT members will also receive 1 CTLE credit upon completion of each training.

As we head into a season centered on connection, gratitude, and time with others, strong communication can make a real difference.

In this interactive session, participants will explore what helps communication work, what causes conversations to break down, and how to express their needs clearly without escalating conflict. Participants will practice strategies for accurate expression and validation—skills that can help you communicate your perspective while still acknowledging someone else’s experience.

Walk away with practical tools for clearer conversations, stronger connections, and navigating difficult interactions with greater confidence this holiday season.
