School Counselors Tenure Meeting

UFT School Counselors Chapter members are invited to an informative workshop on tenure. Achieving tenure is a major milestone in your professional career, so it's important to understand what’s expected and how to prepare. This meeting, which is designed for school counselors seeking tenure, will help you understand each step of the process.

UFT Special Representative Winnie Thompson and I will lead a presentation. We will review the tenure guidelines and rules as well as members’ rights and protections. Then, fellow school counselor Joslie Byrd of MS/HS 141 in the Bronx will share insights on how to build a strong tenure portfolio that meets expectations.
