Our Feb. 3 chapter meeting was informative and engaging. We updated members on issues affecting our chapter and the union as a whole. Members asked questions — and received immediate answers — on a broad range of topics including contractual rights and the union's health care rebate. In case you didn’t know, the health care rebate is a unique benefit available only to our chapter members.

As a reminder, you should have received a ballot in the mail for the special election to create five new borough coordinator positions for our chapter. If you have not yet received a ballot or have a question about the voting procedures, please email UFT Special Representative Ilene Weinerman (iweinerman@uft.org) immediately. Your ballots are due back at the UFT no later than the close of business Tuesday, March 3.
