UFT Dues for 2025 Taxes

Here are the union dues that UFT members paid in the 2025 calendar year.

Notice of Dues Changes

During the year ending Dec. 31, 2025, the City of New York and other employers deducted union dues for the UFT from those UFT members who were so designated. The amount deducted on your behalf and remitted to the UFT can be computed from this chart. Be sure to multiply the semimonthly amount by the actual number of paychecks you received at each rate. Union dues may be tax deductible, subject to certain limitations. For further information, please consult your tax professional.

‘F’ Status Members

Three or more days per week pay full dues in category. Less than three days per week pay 0.425 of 1% of gross income plus: $20.94 per month from 1/25-2/1/25

Day to Day Per Diems and Per Session Employees

Dues for per diem teachers, per diem secretaries and per session employees shall be set at 0.85 of 1 percent of earnings, plus the monthly AFT and NYSUT pass-through of: $10.47 per month from 1/25–2/15/25; $10.80 per month from 2/28–9/15/25; $10.89 per month from 9/30–12/25; but not to exceed half the dues of teachers on the regular payroll.
