Brooklyn paraprofessionals are invited to register for a remote UFT Teacher Center learning series designed to explore meaningful strategies for literacy instruction. In this workshop, attendees will learn how morphology builds student vocabulary and how effective questioning promotes reading comprehension. This session will take place at your school via Zoom during scheduled Monday professional development time. Participants will earn one hour of CTLE credit by completing this session.

All District 73 members who are approaching tenure decisions for the 2026-27 school year are invited to a Brooklyn High Schools tenure workshop designed to give you guidance, resources and insights that will help you navigate the tenure journey successfully. You will also be able to get advice from your school-based superintendent as well as licensing and certification experts from the UFT Brooklyn office.

District 18 Superintendent Celeste Terry and UFT education liaisons Thomas Pascarella and Miriam Quiles will guide members through the next steps in their professional growth.
