I wanted to thank you all for holding the Manhattan District 3 Meet & Greet on Oct. 16. Giving everyone the opportunity to mingle is a great way to make the benefits of a strong union accessible to its members. After a decade of teaching in Tennessee, I still find my heart in shock when I check the monthly budget and see $0 in the health insurance cell!
If there is anything I can do to help within the confines of a new life in the city, please feel free to reach out. I would like to learn as much as possible from the institutional knowledge in UFT to carry along whatever path I tread.
