The Teachers’ Retirement System (TRS) issues 1099 forms each January to individuals who received distributions from TRS in the previous year. The 1099 forms for tax year 2022 were mailed in January 2023. As part of this effort, TRS is also sending an informational brochure to approximately 4,200 new retirees who are receiving a 1099 form for the first time.
