In order to maintain the low cost of SHIP and the benefits provided, please be advised that the Board of Trustees has voted that all SHIP participants must be on check-off for the SHIP premium effective Jan. 1, 2011 thereafter. The only exceptions are those enrolled as COBRA, who do not receive a check, and those retirees who receive a check that would not cover the SHIP deduction. You must sign for automatic deduction for 2011.
Therefore, if you are not signed up for check-off and we send you a bill, you will be charged an administrative fee of $30.00 in addition to your premium.
