The UFT's Brooklyn borough office, in partnership with the New York Immigration Coalition, invites parents and community members to attend a know-your-rights workshop about supporting immigrant, multilingual and newcomer families. We will discuss immigrant rights in school and community settings, safe schools policy, how to interact with immigration enforcement and how to access city and community-based services.

Families will receive printed resources, referrals and guidance. Simultaneous Spanish interpretation will be provided. This event is appropriate for parents, caregivers, educators and school community members supporting immigrant or multilingual households.
