Middle School Scavenger Hunt
UFT members and their families and friends raced against the clock to uncover the “secrets of Grand Central Terminal” at the Middle School Division’s first-ever scavenger hunt on Feb. 4, 2023.
UFT Vice President for Middle Schools Rich Mantell, who organized the event, hands a souvenir T-shirt to a participant.
(From left) Debra Elhadri a tech teacher at PS 75, Randi Boxer, a teacher at PS 152 in Brooklyn, and Amy Bernstein, a speech teacher and chapter leader at PS 272 in Brooklyn, take a selfie in Grand Central.
The crowd of participants gathers before the hunt.
Team members try to find the answer to a clue among the constellations in the main terminal’s famous celestial ceiling.
One clue asked participants to “eat something in a funny way.”
Participants use an app to log their answers.
The 2nd-place team celebrates their finish.
