LearnUFT workshops for social workers/psychologists/counselors

As a state-approved provider of Continuing Education hours for Licensed Master Social Workers (LMSW), Licensed Clinical Social Workers (LCSW), Psychologists and Licensed Mental Health Counselors (LMHC), the LearnUFT program offers low-cost professional learning opportunities specifically designed to meet our members’ needs.

Every LMSW and LCSW must complete 36 hours of approved continuing education courses for each triennial registration period. No more than 12 hours of continuing education activities in any 36 month period, or one-third of the total hours in periods of other length, may consist of self-study educational activities from New York State Education Department-approved providers.

Licensed Mental Health Counselors are also eligible to take these courses and earn CEUs.

Upcoming Sessions

| 8:00 am – 3:00 pm

Social workers and psychologists are invited to their chapter's 20th annual Clinicians Appreciation Day. This year, in addition to our two-part workshop, we'll present awards for UFT Social Worker of the Year and Psychologist of the Year. Our two-part presentation, “Digital Minds: Understanding and Intervening in Unhealthy Media and Device Use,” will be from guest presenter Dr. Ray W. Christner, a nationally certified school psychologist. Attendees will earn five CEU credits provided they check in and out. You may attend in person at UFT headquarters in Manhattan or online.
