Providers OCFS Health and Safety Training
Register to attend OCFS Health and Safety Training for providers. The New York State Office of Children and Family Services requires that all new family or group child care providers complete a 15-hour state-approved training course before becoming a licensed child care provider. Participants must attend all three sessions of the course in the same cohort to receive certification.
This training is NOT for informal providers.
The remaining sessions and times for this cohort are:
- Tuesday, June 23 — 4:45 to 9:30 p.m.
- Wednesday, June 24 — 4:45 to 9 p.m.
- Thursday, June 25 — 4:45 to 9 p.m.
Please note: The cost to attend this cohort is $150. Payment must be received before the first day of the course. We accept payments via credit card or money orders made payable to the United Federation of Teachers. No cash or personal checks will be accepted. Fees are nonrefundable and nontransferable. You will receive instructions for payment following your registration.
When arriving at UFT headquarters, your name will be confirmed so you can attend the class. You must always sign in and out on the attendance sheet to receive credit for your attendance.
Enrollment is extremely limited, so please don't wait to register, and register only if you definitely plan on attending. Please do not show up to the class unless you have received a confirmation email.
Latecomers will not be admitted, and children of any age are NOT permitted.
