Providers Professional Development Spring Trainings: The Family Engagement Journey

Don't miss out on the UFT Professional Provider Education Program's upcoming professional development courses. This five week course is designed to fulfill a provider's 30-hour professional development requirement for license renewal. This course can be applied to OCFS training topics 3 and 5.

The cost for each of the remaining courses is $20. The date, time and topic for the remaining session is Saturday, April 25, 1 to 4 p.m. —Marketing Your Child Care Program: This course can be applied to OCFS training topics 3, 4 and 5.

OCFS Training Topics: 

  1. Principles of childhood development, focusing on the developmental stages of the day-care age groups.
  2. Nutrition and health needs of infants and children.
  3. Child day-care program development.
  4. Safety and security procedures.
  5. Business record maintenance and management.
  6. Child abuse and maltreatment identification and prevention.
  7. Statutes and regulations pertaining to child day care.
  8. Statutes and regulations pertaining to child abuse and maltreatment.
  9. Education and information on the identification, diagnosis and prevention ofshaken baby syndrome.
  10. Adverse childhood experiences, focused on understanding trauma and on nurturing resiliency.

Important registration information
The cost for all 10 sessions is $150 payable by credit card only. For individual workshops, the cost is $20 per session. Payment must be received by the date of the workshop. No cash, money orders or personal checks will be accepted. Fees are nonrefundable and nontransferable.

Enrollment is extremely limited, so don't wait to register. Register only if you plan to attend. Please do not show up to class unless you've received a confirmation email. No walk-ins will be accepted.

Children may not attend, and latecomers will not be admitted. You must sign in and out on the attendance sheet to receive credit for this course.
