At this clinic for all UFT members in the Teachers' Retirement System, we'll introduce the retirement planning process, provide information about understanding your annual benefits statement and discuss the death benefit for survivors when a member dies.

During this clinic, we will discuss the TRS Passport Funds, (i.e., investment options), help you explore your TDA choices at retirement and talk about the required minimum distribution – an annual withdrawal – from your TDA. We'll provide an overview of the TDA section of your online TRS account. We'll also discuss SHIP (Supplemental Health Insurance Program) and COPE (Committee on Political Education).

UFT members working in Manhattan are invited to register for an informational workshop. Participants will learn about the UFT Welfare Fund, their source for supplemental health benefits. The session will also outline resources available to paraprofessionals, including support services for members and their families during times of loss.

At this workshop for all UFT members, we'll discuss health benefits for retiring or retired members if they are not yet eligible for Medicare.
