Paraprofessional Awards Luncheon 2026

More than 1,000 paraprofessionals gathered at the New York Hilton Midtown on March 7 for their UFT chapter’s annual awards luncheon. The event included professional learning sessions, a resource fair and carnival, and the presentation of awards to outstanding paraprofessionals from all five boroughs.

Citywide Paraprofessional Representatives Meeting

Register for an informative meeting for paraprofessional representatives. Katherine Kurjakovic, UFT member representative, will facilitate a training on how school chapters can safeguard and support their immigrant students and families. You will leave with resources to bring back and share with your school communities.

Brooklyn Paraprofessionals Time and Attendance Workshop

Brooklyn District 75 and high school paraprofessionals are invited to register for an upcoming workshop about time and attendance. This session will provide important information about timekeeping procedures. 

Bronx Paraprofessionals Certification Workshop

Bronx paraprofessionals are invited to an online certification workshop. We'll learn all the certification requirements for paraprofessionals with our facilitator Christine O'Callaghan, a UFT education liaison for the Bronx. Registration is required.

RESPECT campaign update

In the few weeks since the new City Council members were sworn in, we’ve hit the ground running. Our paraprofessionals have met with at least 45 members of the City Council so far, and more appointments have been scheduled.
