Paraprofessionals Chapter Special Election

The UFT Paraprofessionals Chapter is holding a special election this spring for the following positions: First Vice Chairperson, Second Vice Chairperson and two Executive Board at‑large positions. The newly elected officers will finish the term ending June 30, 2027. See the Election Notice »

Two of the three races are uncontested, so members will be only be voting for candidates to fill the First Vice Chairperson role. All previously elected paraprofessional officers and Executive Board at-large members continue to serve. 

Upcoming dates & deadlines

  • April 28: Ballots have all been mailed to members. See the ballot notice »
  • May 11: Global Election Services (GES) opens the phone line for members to request a duplicate ballot.
  • May 22: 12 p.m. deadline to request a duplicate ballot.
  • June 8:  9 a.m. deadline for GES to receive completed ballots.
  • June 8 : GES counts the ballots at the UFT.
