Amplifying Student Voice: Support Multilingual Learners With Intentional Listening

Earn four hours of CTLE credit with the UFT Teacher Center. At this in-person professional learning session, educators will explore how purposeful student talk strengthens both academic learning and language development. Participants will examine what effective oral language instruction looks like and how strategic listening can transform classroom conversations. Through reflection and practical application, educators will learn how to adapt oral language strategies across different language proficiency levels to expand access, deepen rigor and elevate the voices of multilingual learners.

The cost to attend this workshop is $20 for teachers, $10 for paraprofessionals.
