As a state-approved provider of Continuing Education hours for Licensed Master Social Workers (LMSW), Licensed Clinical Social Workers (LCSW), Psychologists and Licensed Mental Health Counselors (LMHC), the LearnUFT program offers low-cost professional learning opportunities specifically designed to meet our members’ needs. This workshop will equip mental health professionals with the knowledge and tools to develop effective safety plans that can reduce risk and promote recovery when clients experience mental health crises.

Every LMSW and LCSW must complete 36 hours of approved continuing education courses for each triennial registration period. No more than 12 hours of continuing education activities in any 36 month period, or one-third of the total hours in periods of other length, may consist of self-study educational activities from New York State Education Department-approved providers.

Licensed Mental Health Counselors are also eligible to take these courses and earn CEUs.
