This course provides a practical, comprehensive overview of bone health across the lifespan. Participants will explore how bones function and change with age, factors that influence bone strength and bone loss, and the roles of nutrition, exercise, hormones, lifestyle, and overall health. The course introduces approaches to assessing and supporting bone health, including bone-density testing, fracture risk, nutrition, resistance and weight-bearing exercise, fall prevention, and medical and complementary approaches. Emphasis is placed on practical strategies, informed decision-making, and sustainable habits that support strong bones, physical function, mobility, and independence. This workshop is $10 for UFT members and $30 for non-members to attend, and registrants will earn two Continuing Education credits upon completion.
