Blue hexagon with UFT symbol in rainbow colors representing UFT Pride Committee

The Pride Committee of the United Federation of Teachers is comprised of UFT members and staff who share a vision of inclusiveness and aim to advocate for LGBTQ issues. The committee accomplishes this goal by advocating for fair treatment in the workplace, promoting diversity and inclusion in education, promoting social justice and equitable treatment of LGTBQ individuals in society and by increasing awareness around health issues in the LGBTQ community. We also regularly participate in pride events, marches and celebrations throughout the community.

Please use the membership enrollment form to join, stay in touch and learn more about the committee.
