Inside My Classroom

Supporting student responsibility and independence

New York Teacher

In our integrated co-teaching classroom, my co-teacher and I divide our 2nd-graders into groups and have them rotate among stations. We created this chart so every student can look for their name [below the materials list] to know where they should be and what materials they need. The chart makes for smoother and more efficient transitions between stations, and it supports the students in becoming more responsible and independent members of our classroom community.
