UFT on agreement reached between NewYork-Presbyterian and EmblemHealth

EmblemHealth and NewYork-Presbyterian have reached an agreement. The hospital will remain in network for all Emblem plans, and UFT members' coverage remains unchanged. UFT President Michael Mulgrew released the following statement:
"This agreement wasn't business as usual. Our union held all sides accountable to preserve high-quality, premium free health care while curbing unfair price hikes that weaken all our health coverage. By keeping workers' voices - the patients who rely on this coverage - front and center, we are protecting and enhancing benefits," said Michael Mulgrew, president of the 200,000-member United Federation of Teachers
