UFT President Michael Mulgrew issued the following statement upon the release of the Trump administration's federal private school voucher regulations.
"Public dollars should be for public schools. The Trump administration's private school voucher program will siphon off billions of our tax dollars that should support our public schools. Who wins? The people already sending their kids to private school. Who loses? The nine out of 10 students who go to public school. Gov. Hochul: Say 'no' to Trump's taxpayer-funded private school voucher scheme"
