Vote in the midterms

New York Teacher

Election Day is Nov. 3, with early voting to begin on Oct. 24. This year, elections are being held for all statewide offices, including governor, state comptroller and state attorney general.

This year also marks the midterm elections for all U.S. House seats. Fewer people tend to vote in state elections compared with presidential elections. That means your vote matters more because each vote will carry more weight, and the outcomes can be decided by relatively small margins.
