As members of New York State United Teachers, UFT members are entitled to purchase a variety of NYSUT-endorsed insurance — car, term life, home, etc. — at group discount rates. Members may pay reduced premiums and/or no service fees when they purchase NYSUT-endorsed programs through payroll deduction. Payroll deductions to cover the premiums are made monthly from November through the last paycheck in June. Deductions are not taken out of paychecks from July through October.
