Whether you have a question about your union benefits or need a new membership ID card, the UFT’s new mobile app provides fast and convenient access to union resources and information.

The union launched its members-only mobile app, which gives you access to the UFT Member Hub, in August. It is available through the Apple App store for Apple devices and will soon be available in Google Play for Android devices.

Lamar Devine, who along with other school chapter leaders was asked to provide feedback, wrote in an email that he was impressed with the layout of the new app. “It’s user-friendly and allows easy access to specific tabs,” said Devine, the chapter leader at PS 102 in Manhattan. “The home page is well organized and makes it a breeze to click on the links to access information.”

Other actions you can take on the UFT app:

• Access special member-only discounts for entertainment, dining, travel and more.
• View the status of your latest UFT Welfare Fund health benefit claims.
• Find contact information for union departments, services and programs.
• Consult the union’s in-depth “knowledge base,” a bank of frequently asked questions and answers about union rights and benefits.
• Stay on top of upcoming union events, meetings and workshops.
• Review and update your personal information.
• View your member benefits and services, including health care, the UFT Welfare Fund, the UFT’s Member Assistance Program, the UFT Legal Plan, the Supplemental Health Insurance Program and the UFT Student Debt Relief Program.
• See the 2023 contract and your rights as a union member.
• Join a UFT professional committee, such as the English Language Arts Council or the Pride Committee.
• Plan for your retirement.

Chapter leaders can access the Chapter Leader Hub through the UFT app, too.

UFT members with the old UFT app on their iPhone should delete it and download the new one now. Android users will want to delete the old app when the new one becomes available.
