Seventeen years of teaching experience and I rarely gave homework. When I did, it was to reinforce a difficult lesson.

My students showed progress EVERY YEAR.

I believe after 30 years of teaching elementary school that some homework each night is important to reinforce skills. No more than a half hour for all subjects. That is a total of a half hour.
