Praise for former student-turned-teacher

New York Teacher

I am a retired New York City public school teacher who worked at PS 276 and PS 208 in Brooklyn from 1964 to 1997. One of my students was Pasha Durr, the subject of your recent “What I Do” article [Pasha Durr, home instruction teacher, June 17, 2025, issue]. He was my student in PS 276 in Canarsie when I taught 4th grade there from 1964 to 1970. He looks like he did when he was 9 years old! My name was Elizabeth Lilienfeld at that time. I want to tell him how wonderful his work is today. Pasha Durr is NOT a name you forget easily, even after a teaching career of 40 years.
