So sorry to hear that Barbara Mylite died. I met her my first year teaching 25 years ago. I was teaching at PS 127 in East Elmhurst, and she helped me tremendously.

The one thing I remember her telling me: “Teaching is an art. It takes time to be a good teacher, and one day you will be.”

Barbara and I taught side by side during summer school for quite a few years. She was a dynamic person and teacher! I am glad I got to know her.
