Regarding the paraprofessional RESPECT check:
The city doesn’t realize its impact on educators. We’re struggling to survive on this pay, unable to afford rent, a cup of coffee, or even something for our child. When our child asks for something, we say, “Not now, tomorrow.” Meanwhile, our morale is dying with each passing moment as the city calculates its budget.
