UFT members who have requested to transfer from the Board of Education Retirement System (BERS) to the Teachers’ Retirement System (TRS) must complete and notarize a key form by Dec. 10 for their transfer to be finalized.

BERS-enrolled members seeking to transfer to TRS must fill out and notarize the Chapter 551 Transfer Form and submit it to BERS no later than Dec. 10.

Download the form and upload it to BERS using the method indicated on the form.

Transfers will not be finalized without the notarized form.
