Reading Opens the World and First Book, in partnership with the AFT and UFT, have been distributing free books to children across the country for years. The goal is to ensure that all children can share in the joy of reading and owning their own books.

• Join the fun with music, face painting, balloon animals, cotton candy and popcorn! 
• Books are available on a first-come, first-served basis, so arrive early. 
• Children may choose up to five FREE books for their home library, with a maximum of 20 FREE books per family. 
• Educators may choose up to 50 FREE books for their classroom collections.
